On Saturday Night Dalia, the owner of Viper Apparel put on a fashon show with 14 girls. The show started at 5 p.m and it was so much fun! The dresses were beautiful and my hair looked great (it was done by Ramez Sahoury!) Pizes were given away and there was a great DJ.

On February 4th I was featured in a photo shoot along with 5 other girls for Viper Apparel. The photo shoot was for all of the Clair’s Collection dresses, that are made by hand and no two are alike! I had a blast working  with Dalia the owner of Viper Apparel and the other models!

SnowFest

On Saturday January 30th I attended the annual Snow Fest in Frankenmuth. I had so much fun getting to see all the snow sculptures done by artists. My favorite thing was the ice sculptures I was amazed at the beauty!

Project Homeless Connect gave the homeless and the people at risk of homelessness of Lapeer county the opportunity to receive necessary information they needed to help secure housing. They received free hair cuts, food and clothing, and a hot meal. It was my job to unpack all of the food and place it in boxes for each family to pick up.

Two days before the shop with a hero event I helped put food in boxes for the family’s. I also helped wrap gifts for the kids like, mittens and hats, game boys, watches, and even a Nintendo wii!

Shop With a Hero

I volunteered at the Meijer in Lapeer during their shop with a hero event. Needy family’s were picked up in fire trucks and police cars, then were taken to Meijer for the evening. Children get to shop with the fire fighters and police men for gifts fo their family. The family’s are given a shopping cart full of everything that was needed for their christmas dinner. Meijer also provides a dinner and draws names for prizes. I had the wonderful opportunity to serve dinner and pass out stuff animals to all the kids.

Showing another volunteer the programWorking with this program was so much fun. I had the chance to make cd’s filled with usefull information if a child were to get lost. It included, personal information, a picture, and a video voice recording of the child. I had a great time with everyone and felt great taking that extra step to make sure children in Michigan stay safe.

Before the Pageant StartedThe 2010 finals night of the Michigan USA Pageant took place at the Mcmorran Place Theater. I had an amazing time and was so thrilled to see Catherine McGhee take the teen crown!

Lapeer Days

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet many of the local Lapeer residents. I enjoyed the fair rides, live bands, and of course all the great food! I had an awesome time.

The Heritage Research Institute celebrated Americas founding by reading the Declaration of Independence. Every one joined in the singing of the national anthem and the pledge of allegiance. I passed out autograph sheets and spoke with the public.
